Anti-Semite, anti-Russian and pro Second Cold War
AMAZON PRIME – McMAFIA – SEASON 1 – 2018
This first season of only eight episodes seems to plant the setting of a longer series, but here we are and I must say I am surprised with this ideologically very correct series according to the western partisans and advocates of a Second Cold War. We are speaking here of London as the financial center of the new network that is being built for all kinds of illegal circulation of illegal stuff, first of all, heroin and other drugs. The market used to be controlled by the Russians with two competitors: one from Israel in the hands of an ex-Russian Jew and the other from South America, Colombian or whatever. Apparently, that network was centered on the harbor of Mumbai where corruption and social permanent upheaval or quasi-upheaval enable the police to be rotten and controlled by anyone who pays a lot. The Russian branch tried to enter Europe via the Czech Republic but that route was getting difficult because of the fight between the Israeli and the Russians.
Then some Russian mafia families were installed in London and the second generation, Alex Godman, was a banker there who had difficulties to grow his business and needed some partners. He found them in Israel but that was not enough because this partner could not provide a safe entry in Europe. To do that first a partnership was to be brought up with the South Americans, though the Israeli hated it. Alex Godman managed to force the Israeli’s hand. But then they had to negotiate an entry port in Russia, safe passage through Russia and entry into Europe from the east on land routes or eventually train routes. Alex manages that negotiation in the heart of a real manhunt against him in Moscow because his father, to avenge the killing of his own brother, Alex’s uncle, by the Russian network of a certain Vadim, gives the order to get Vadim’s daughter killed on the very day when Alex flies into Moscow.
We end up with the last loop in the negotiations in Moscow and we know there is one more turning point or event coming but that will be for the next season.
I am bothered by the ideological context. The big bad wolves are Israelis, Russians, especially Russian Jews, mostly in exile, and the South Americans. That is so easy to just build that band of bad boys. Of course, Europeans and Americans are as clean as clean can be. My foot of course! Asians, apart from Indians in Mumbai, are out of the picture though heroin is produced in South America and in Afghanistan, the latter being the first producer of opium in the world and it is supposedly under the control of American GIs and has been since 2001. So, please, Russians and Israelis, and Jews all over the world, and South Americans? You’re kidding, I guess.
The lesson or the moral of the story seems to be it’s better for these illegal black market drug dealing jobs to be under the control of second generation Russian Jews in London who have been trained in finance than under the rule of the Russian mafia in Russia because they are plainly violent and inefficient. The South Americans have to be kept under control because they too have a tendency to be violent. And what’s more the Israelis, even if they are Russian Jews originally, are not entirely kosher, meaning secure and reliable.
In other words, a new generation of criminals are rising: they are second generation Russian Jews and they are going to control everything from London. Isn’t that reassuring especially with Brexit looming high on the horizon? At least the Chinese are out and the Europeans or Americans are as clean as clean can be, but how much is that? And all that at least feeds the Western paranoia with some reason to be paranoid and to get ready to send a few nuclear bombs in that Russian mess as soon as possible. And be sure that Putin who is never named and whose picture is never shown is, of course, the main, the only devil in this Russian concentration camp.
You must admit that is a reassuring dream that has the color of a nightmare and the taste of Canada Dry. But it has little to do with real alcohol. We are living under a prohibition of anything a little bit strong on the mental, spirit-ual and intellectual side. But it is funny as a dystopic entertainment. Prozit und Glück auf!
